Tonight, I listened to a tribute to Joey Ramone for the billionth time on "The Ongoing History of New Music".

I was -3 Years old when they played there first show in '74. However, their influence was felt in all of the music I grew up with. The Beastie Boys Green Day, Gob and Blink 182 and many others all owe a piece of their success to the Ramones. The influence of the band is still felt today with any of the pop-punk-rock stuff that's clogging the radio. While I'm not sure if Avril has ever visited Rockaway Beach, I'm pretty sure her stylist has.

Sometime In the early 90's. I had the pleasure of seeing the Ramones open up for White Zombie @ Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, On. I don't remeber much of the show except the trademark Ramones "1-2-3-4..". However, the show for me set in concrete the legend that is the Ramones.
