I've been slacking on this whole blog thing. I will continue to blubber about music. If your looking for cool music, something decent to listen to, check out 97X from Cincinnati. I have no doubt this is the coolest non-college radio station I have ever heard. When So many radio station call themselves "modern rock" and still play creed and nickleback, it's great to see a station that actually plays cutting edge music, from all genres of music. I've already heard a whack of new music and interesting bands. As well, they display the current playlist, so you can checkout what you just heard.. Very Exellent.

January was looking pretty scary at first with the post-xmas glut of new music. Whelp. Sunday. I know I should be talking about something interesting here. However, I don't think that's will happen. I'm making a list of songs from last year - for myself. I'll share it with my girlfriend. But I'm not even sure she gives a shit. And why should she? I know she has her favorites. I guess blogs are kind of this "If a tree falls in the forest, does anybody here". Or perhaps "If I publish a blog of crap, does anybody read?". Perhaps next year.. I should of taken Evanescence out of this list. I love her voice, but that band smells of crap. I think she's married to some dumbass from Good Charlotte. Scary combo. Overtime I'll probably edit this down, and add some song I forgot. 90% of these songs can be found on fine p2p apps like Soulseek. Along with going to the Bulldogs game yesterday, I took the time to go to Sonic Unyon Record Store in Hamilton, On. on York Street. If you are into live music/independent music or just a music lover (Read: Rock Snob/Punk Kid) and love stores like Penguin Music Or Rotate This , you'll probably love this store. I picked up "Matmos: The Civil war", and "Guided by Voices: Human amusement at Hourly Rates" (GBV's Greatest Hits). Fun stuff all around. While your in downtown Hamilton, check the Farmers Market out in the Hamilton Eatons Centre. Lots of good deals to be found of on all sorts of tasty stuff.

So I finally got of my ass, and started to do a blog. However, Its three years after it was cool, and at least ten years before it becomes cool again. But what the hell else do I have to do at 5:30 AM (EST)? . Last Night I was at a Hamilton Bulldogs games. They got their asses kicked by Syracuse. Only one fight, and it wasn't much of one. It was still well worth the 20 bucks Cdn.

For my first official post, I'm going to setup my top picks of 2003 for music. I have it down to 140 Songs or so. I was trying to sub categorize it from there. However, it still doesn't seem to pick. I have no #1, and some of the songs are 5 years old. But, that's what my year was like in music, re-discovering decent music, and remembering the stuff I use to like.
